Removal of old shingles

We first remove and dispose of all old shingles, tar paper, bathroom flanges, valleys, attic vents, bathroom and stove vents, wall and chimney flashings, and whatever else is agreed upon for removal.

Insulation and Soffit air flow inspections
At the home owner’s request, we will remove plywood in order to inspect insulation for R-value and inspect the Soffits for air flow above the insulation.

Ice and Water Shield, Titanium Waterproof Underlayment
We then apply Ice and Water shield 6ft high at all eaves, 3ft at the walls, chimneys, all vents, flanges and valleys. The rest of the wood surface is then sealed with Titanium Waterproof Underlayment.

Emptying these bad airs into the attic and or the soffits can create build-up of moisture condensation within the attic that can lead to mold and mildew, rot, and loss of r value insulation, ice damming, and shingle deterioration.

Maximum attic venting
The maximum vent is water, snow, wind, bird and rodent proof. They are designed to empty the moist vapours in the attic that can lead to mold, mildew, rot, and loss of R value insulation. They will reduce snow melting and ice damming in the winter and will reduce heat build-up in the summer.
